TJ Van Buskirk

Godot Game Developer / Frontend Developer

Warner Robins, GA

My name is TJ. I’m a passionate indie game developer and the creative force behind AngyWizard Games. With a deep love for storytelling and a knack for crafting creative ideas, I’ve dedicated myself to creating unique gaming experiences that resonate with players on a personal level. My journey into game development has been fueled by a lifelong fascination with both the technical and artistic sides of gaming. Whether it’s bringing whimsical characters to life or designing intricate levels that challenge and delight, I approach every project with a blend of creativity, determination, and a dash of humor. When I’m not coding or brainstorming new ideas, you can find me exploring different game worlds, refining my skills, or simply enjoying the latest RPG. My goal is to push the boundaries of what indie games can offer while staying true to my vision of creating games that are not only fun to play but also leave a lasting impact.

My Story

My story begins long before I ever picked up a line of code. Growing up, I was always drawn to creative outlets—whether it was sketching characters in my notebook, dreaming up fantastical worlds, or losing myself in the narratives of my favorite games. These experiences were more than just hobbies; they were my escape, my inspiration, and the fuel for my imagination.

However, the idea of becoming a game developer wasn’t always clear. My early career took me down various paths, each with its own set of challenges and learning opportunities. These experiences taught me resilience, problem-solving, and the importance of pursuing what truly makes you happy. But even as I explored different avenues, I found myself consistently drawn back to the world of games—wondering not just how they were played, but how they were made.

It wasn’t until I took the leap and started learning game development that everything began to click. I dove headfirst into coding, design, and the intricate art of creating interactive experiences. The process wasn’t always easy, but every challenge was a new opportunity to grow, to push my boundaries, and to bring my ideas to life.

As I honed my skills, I realized that my passion for storytelling and creativity could be more than just a pastime—it could be a career. That’s when AngyWizard Games was born. With this platform, I’ve been able to merge my love for gaming, my knack for problem-solving, and my desire to craft stories that resonate with players on a deeper level.

Through every project, I strive to create games that are not just entertaining, but also meaningful—games that leave a lasting impression and bring a bit of magic into the everyday. I’m excited to share my journey with you and invite you to be a part of this adventure as I continue to explore new worlds, tell new stories, and push the boundaries of what games can be.
